Emmetsburg, IA (northwestiowanow.com) — The Emmetsburg school board is hoping the third time around is the charm for an elementary bond issue.

President Kyle Caven says the location and funding formula has been changed following two previous defeats.

Caven tells KICD News he feels new construction makes the best sense for the future of the district.

Bond issue attempts in Emmetsburg received a majority of votes in both 2024 and 2025 but did not achieve the 60 percent super majority required for passage.
