Storm Lake, IA (KICD) — A Storm Lake man has been charged with attempted murder for a Tuesday evening incident.

Police say an 18-year-old was robbed and stabbed in the 700 block of Grand Avenue around 9pm and sought refuge inside a residence. The perpetrator forced his way in and continued the assault until he was chased outside by other occupants.

With the help of a K-9 unit, 20 year old Dah Dah was tracked down to 411 West 4th Street. Police officers and Deputies with the Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Department searched the home and reportedly found a loaded firearm, knfie, and drug paraphernalia. In addition to attempted murder Dah was charged with 1st degree robbery, 1st degree burglary, assault while participating in a felony, willful injury, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The victim was taken by ambulance to Buena Vista Regional Medical Center.
