Spencer, IA (KICD) — In a new announcement: The Spencer 4th of July Committee has decided that considering the likelihood of rain, fireworks will be postponed.

A news release from the committee decided the best use of community resources this week is continued flood cleanup, and they hope to hold an event in a few weeks for the community to rest and celebrate progress toward permanent recovery.

There still will be quite a few other options for fireworks this 4th of July including Okoboji’s annual show.
