Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — The Clay County Sheriff’s Department has released information about a two vehicle accident that ocurred Saturday afternoon around 2:30 West of Spencer.
The accident report says 19 year old Destiny Cooke of Everly was Northbound on 190th Avenue, stopped at the intersection with 350th Avenue, but then started to make a left hand turn and struck the Westbound vehicle driven by 28 year old Alyssa Johnson of Spencer – who had the right of way.
Cooke was transported to the Spencer Hospital by ambulance for possible injuries.
She has been charged with failure to obey a stop sign, driving without a valid license, and driving a car without registration.
Spencer Police, Spencer Fire and Rescue, and Everly Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene.
