Arnolds Park, IA (northwestiowanow.com) — The tourism numbers are out for July, August, and September for the Iowa Great Lakes. Tourism Director Kiley Zankowski says things were strong despite the gas prices.

The stats are based on hotel and VRBO rentals, sales tax receipts, and cell phone data.

Zankowski tells KICD News the average length of stay was 4 and a half days – down from last year – but visitors came more often.
